Today I am sharing a few tips for Android users which would help them to filter apps and sort them out for quick reference and access.
As the number of apps keeps increasing everyday on the PlayStore, users are discovering more and more applications and games for their Android Smartphone. However, with over 700,000 apps and counting, it is tough to find the apps we need and get them from the market.
While you are doing a search in Play Store, add the minus symbol at the end of your search term followed by the words which you do not want. For example, if a user is searching for Cricket, there are a lot of other themes and ringtones that come after or before the actual app you are looking for. In this case, you could use this tip.
For example, type this in the search box : Cricket - Ringtone -Theme -Wallpapers
This will make the search much more effective as the results will not show anything from the wallpapers, ringtones and the themes category short listing what you probably just want. This method will save a lot of time while searching for not-so-popular apps on the Play Store.
Tip 2 : Use the Web version of the Play Store
Using the Play Store on the Web needs a internet enabled computer which can run the browser and it might not be of much convenience, indeed. However, it also turns out to be one of the best and easiest ways of finding the app you want. Especially, if you’re looking for multiple apps in one category or just setting up your new Android phone, it would be of really good use.
When you are signed in on your Android device and the Play Store over the web, the apps start getting downloaded and installing automatically on your Android phone, at any location it may be wirelessly provided it’s connected to the internet. It’s a very useful feature and helps as one does not have to go through the menus in the small screen and choose apps one by one.
Also, there are multiple search options on the Google Play store on the Web like Sorting by Relevance, filtering by paid/free etc.
